About Me

Andrew Nicoll is a commercial and corporate law specialist with considerable experience across diverse industries, including manufacturing, freight, liquor as well as start-ups. Andrew provides business and commercial legal services to a variety of clients, from multi-nationals, to family owned businesses to individuals.

Negotiating and drafting commercial contracts is a major part of Andrew’s work. These include shareholder and joint venture agreements, agreements for the sale and purchase of businesses and shares, financing and security documents, supply and distribution arrangements, terms of trade, licensing agreements, and confidentiality agreements. Andrew also handles corporate insolvency work working with receivers and liquidators.

Andrew joined Hudson Gavin Martin as a partner on 1 August 2012. Prior to that he was a partner at Martelli McKegg for six years from 2006. His previous experience included eight years in Bell Gully’s commercial team followed by three years as a commercial partner at Brookfields. He gained a Master of Laws at the London School of Economics, University of London.

Andrew also regularly assists not for profit organisations including incorporated societies and charitable trusts including The Pindrop Foundation, MixIt and the Auckland Airport Community Trust.
