Edwin Lim

Partner at Hudson Gavin Martin

Auckland, New Zealand

About Me

I am a commercial and corporate lawyer and have focused on technology, media, telecommunications and intellectual property since 2000. I have an excellent understanding of the technology and business drivers underlying transactions in the technology sector through my formal Information Systems qualification (including systems analysis and design, software engineering and database development).

I started my career at Bell Gully (Auckland) in 2000 before heading to Clyde & Co (Dubai) in 2006 for further experience. Upon returning to New Zealand in 2010, I joined Hudson Gavin Martin, a specialist technology and intellectual property firm (I previously worked with the founding partners Wayne Hudson and Simon Martin during my time at Bell Gully). I joined the partnership of Hudson Gavin Martin on 1 May 2013.

I am an Executive Committee Member of the New Zealand Software Association, New Zealand Middle East Business Council, and New Zealand Game Developers Association.
