New Zealand has long been isolated geographically. However, initiatives like GridAKL, operating out of Auckland's Wynyard Quarter, ensure that our technology sector is better able to share and collaborate with other enterprises and therefore enhance Auckland's aim to be a technology leader in the Asia-Pacific region. This is through GridAKL's ability to bring together some of New Zealand's most innovative start-ups into one venue, allowing a much more effective use of knowledge and other resources.
HGM is proud to be a supporter of GridAKL, which in the words of NZTech CEO, Graeme Muller, is "fostering a culture of connection and collaboration and that’s helping drive the technology and innovation sector forward.”
Innovation in Auckland has been recognised in a NZTech commissioned report about the state of New Zealand’s technology sector. The report, Digital Nation New Zealand: From Tech Sector to Digital Nation, was announced this week. It cites GridAKL as a key element in accelerating information sharing and sector growth in Auckland.
